This Privacy Policy applies to parents and legal guardians who use the App to track information about their children. While we collect information about children through parental input, we do not collect information directly from children.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Your child's name or other direct personal identifiers

  • Photographs of your child

  • Precise geolocation information

  • Photos or media files from your device

  • Medical diagnoses or detailed health records

  • Health information beyond what you voluntarily enter regarding your child's food preferences

  • Financial information (payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

3.1 To Provide and Maintain the Service

  • Create and manage your account

  • Provide personalized food suggestions and recommendations

  • Store and display your food tracking data

  • Process your subscription and manage billing

3.2 To Improve the App

4.1 Service Providers

Payment Processors: To process subscription payments (note: we do not store your payment card information)

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to provide services to us and are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

We do not share personally identifiable information about your child with third parties except as described in this policy.

Child Information: Retained while your account is active and for 90 days after account closure, unless you request earlier deletion

Usage Data: Retained for up to 2 years for potential future analysis and app improvement

Financial Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with legal and tax obligations

Communication Data: Retained as long as necessary to provide support and resolve issues

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

The App is designed for use by parents and legal guardians aged 18 and older. The App is not intended for direct use by children, and children should not create accounts or use the App independently.

While we do not collect information directly from children, we do collect information about children that is provided by their parents or legal guardians, including:

  • Child's age (optional)

  • Food preferences and eating habits

  • Food exposure tracking data

  • Notes about eating patterns and behaviors

By providing information about your child, you represent that:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian with authority to provide such information

  • You consent to our collection, use, and storage of this information as described in this Privacy Policy

  • You understand you are responsible for the accuracy of information provided

  • You have read and understand how we use and protect your child's information

10.2 COPPA Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

The App is designed so that only parents and guardians (aged 18+) can create accounts and enter information. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without proper parental consent, we will delete such information promptly.

10.4 Note on Data Classification

The information you enter about your child's food preferences and eating habits is for educational and tracking purposes only. We do not treat this as protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA, and the App is not designed to store or manage medical records or diagnoses. If your child has medical conditions or diagnoses, you should maintain those records with your healthcare providers.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.

When we transfer your information internationally, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure your information remains protected, including:

  • Using standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission

  • Ensuring the recipient country provides adequate data protection

  • Obtaining your explicit consent where required

Some web browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want your online activities tracked. The App does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals due to the lack of industry standards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy

  • Notify you via email or through a prominent notice in the App

Your continued use of the App after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide by and be bound by the updated Privacy Policy.
